As part of our growing focus on Cybersecurity, we’re launching a Cyber Security Internship Cohort and inviting motivated, detail-oriented, and curious individuals to join our mission of building safer digital ecosystems.
As a Cyber Security Intern at WillHire, you’ll collaborate with our security and infrastructure teams to protect sensitive data, monitor and respond to threats, and strengthen the defenses of our HR-tech systems.
This program offers a hands-on learning experience in real-world cybersecurity operations — including exposure to attack surfaces, vulnerability assessments, and incident response activities in a dynamic tech environment.
Monitor and analyze logs, network activity, and alerts to identify suspicious behavior.
Conduct vulnerability scans and assist with remediation planning.
Take part in penetration testing and report exploitable weaknesses.
Contribute to system hardening, identity and access management, and secure configuration of cloud environments.
Research new threat vectors, malware trends, and propose countermeasures.
Help create incident response procedures, standard operating documents, and awareness materials.
Maintain accurate audit trails, documentation, and compliance records.
Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/MSc in Cyber Security, Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
Solid understanding of networking concepts (OSI model, TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
Basic familiarity with Linux and Windows administration commands.
Exposure to common penetration testing tools such as Nmap, Wireshark, Burp Suite, or Metasploit.
Understanding of cryptography fundamentals, authentication methods, and OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.
Certifications like CEH, CompTIA Security+, or ISO 27001 (completed or in progress).
Familiarity with cloud security concepts (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Experience using SIEM solutions (Splunk, ELK, QRadar, etc.).
Participation in CTF competitions, bug bounty programs, or cybersecurity communities.
Practical exposure to live cybersecurity operations in a tech-driven environment.
Hands-on experience in vulnerability assessment, threat hunting, and compliance.
One-on-one mentorship from experienced cybersecurity professionals.
